But I don’t like swapping programs for a single layer of normal map so I this is to have a basic solution inside Krita.Īnyway hope a plugin or filter is made for Krita for this purpose. There is no ‘perfect fix’ to resolve the Far Cry 6 crashing at startup or mid-game problem. Gimp has a nice plugin for this which is very similar to Nvidia Texture Tools while Nvidia Tools require specific hardware and photoshop, gimp doesn’t which is nice. For example linen or burlap surfaces or scales, spores and scratches. normal maps from grayscale images is just for extra surface detail which usually tiles. To make hard suface tech panels your best bet will be either subd modelling or hard surface sculpting.

This technique just tries to do that but depending on the grayscale image some artifacts can occur. It pretty primitive but does a good job at quickly adding some surface detail. Photoshop CC 2014 has a built in filter now which converts grayscale images to normal maps. This is just a workaround until such a filter exists. The final image barely compares to a decent normal map. maps for them in Krita with your technique, as people do with nDo 2 for video games ? Is it easy to make tech panels and generate normal / AO / etc. Right now it is still missing some fundamental features with frame by frame. But it seems like such a huge task that it should have a kickstarter campaign of it’s own almost. That way you can non destructively move a drawing across the screen and that should also be possible to tween - interpolate between the transform values. One feature that would be great to have is a way to put keyframes on a transform mask.

Is tweening a planned feature? I thought that only vector based type animation software could do it. It says that tweening is missing in the context of raster based animation. It has a long way to go to catch up with tvpaint, but it is very exciting how quickly it’s becoming a viable animation tool

Looking forward to see how this progresses. When I select multiple layers, he timeline is not showing them all - only the last selected one. You can not ctrl+drag frames from one layer onto another layer (timeline) No way to ctrl+c and ctrl+v/ctrl+x multiple frames. The right click menu needs to be populated with more commands. When you duplicate a layer with animation data in it, the animation data (frames) dont get duplicated. There is currently no way to duplicate a layer that has animation data in it. Well, Krita is primarily a painting program, don’t forget that But snapping/guides will come in spring somewhere, we have a thread on the forum that is about brainstorming about it. What do you think of that features mentioned above? Or are some of them already in krita and I just missed them. I think krita is awesome and and is a great tool for 2D Artists already… but currently it is more for illustrators and not graphics designers. I think it is almost there… But a few things are missing to feel home in krita when doing graphic design.ĭon’t get me wrong with this post. Krita lately got layer effects, which is awesome.

The hold-back on this is that we haven’t figured out how to stop random slowdowns with this. (selection dimensions, cursor pos and similiar infos.) Information Docker -> displays all sorts of infos. You can even draw and use liquefy on the transform tool here. Then when you have the selection, there should be an entry at the top of your layer stack. There already, select->show global selection mask. Moving selections without converting them to vector selections before… When selections are converted to vector selections they don’t snap to the pixel grid. No, this wasn’t picked during last kickstarter Pixel precise layer movement with arrow keys.Does someone know if better image manipulation tools are on kritas roadmap? I mean krita is awesome for painting.
